FALL 2009
We are heading for early autumn fishing in the S. Appalachians. The kids are getting ready to be back at school, football is starting up and colleges are settling back in to the Fall semester swing. This means that the "change" is near for our rivers and streams. We are still finding a ton of quality fish in our tailwater rivers AND our wild native book trout rivers. Our client trips have taken us deep into the blue ridge and on 6-7 mile floats in E. TN tailwaters. The shop has just what you need for local flies that move fish this autumn. Over 2000 doz. flies always in stock. . .one of the largest selections around. This is also the month that we tie tie tie. Our custom fly program starts back up for our local tyers, and they are all very busy. Classics that you have come to love and fish like the red ass, the yellow soft hackle the jumpin jack flash and everyone's favorite - the soft hackle PT. If you are here, or coming to our territory soon make sure you put in an order for our customs. You can see these under our custom fly link at the bottom of our home page.
We are moving a lot of fish in the early A.M. hours with the crane fly and PT dropper. Then, we move to the standard caddis, sulpher and BWO parachute selections with small midge larvae as droppers. The PM hours are a blast with large yellow sallies and ICSI midge action on the surface. Our guide staff is always ready to get you to our favorite rivers, so book a trip with us this week.
